According to Insurance Europe, the average amount of daily insurance payments for the reporting period made up 2.9 billion euros, and the total amount of insurance premiums increased by 6.2% year on year to 1.31 trillion euros.
The highest growth in premium income was observed in the property and life insurance segments. The growth of insurance payments as of 2018 was 3.1% to 1.07 trillion euros.
