Preparing in advance for the time zone change and adjusting the daily routine is one of the main tips. A sudden change in routine, according to experts, can weaken the immune system.
During the flight, they recommend always choosing seats by the window, as they are “the cleanest”, as well as wiping the table, armrests and seat belt with wet wipes with an antiseptic.
“Most surfaces have high levels of bacteria that can put a person at risk of serious infection,” the experts explain.
The next two tips are about food while traveling. Avoid iced drinks (which can be made from contaminated water) and don't drink from street fountains to avoid catching a gut infection, experts say. It is better to consume more probiotics: they will reduce the risk of stomach problems.
