“The right quick meal helps office workers avoid gaining weight. This could be a piece of cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt or some kind of fermented milk drink. It could also be a handful of nuts,” says Natalya Kruglova.
The doctor clarifies that if there is an opportunity for a more substantial meal, you can add lean meat, white poultry or fish to the diet as a source of protein.
Besides, it is important to add products containing whole grains to your diet, for example, whole grain bread or crackers: “Check the product list of ingredients; it should contain whole grain flour. With this flour, in addition to complex carbohydrates, we get magnesium, zinc, and B vitamins. It is also important that the meal includes foods that will provide the body with dietary fiber and vitamins. It could be fresh fruits or vegetables; in the summer season you can buy berries.”
According to Kruglova such a balanced meal will saturate the body for a long time and will not lead to overeating.
