According to the publication, high blood sugar can damage nerves, blood vessels and vital organs causing a number of warning signs along the way. One of them is cold feet, according to experts.
The feeling that feet are freezing may appear regardless of weather conditions and room temperature. Other symptoms as numbness in the limbs or tingling in the legs may also be included in the list.
“If your feet are always cold, you may have circulatory problems, a known risk factor for diabetes,” explained physician Chris Steele. Circulatory problems often lead to slower wound healing and seizures, he notes.
