The rating is based on nine indicators:
1) Development of entrepreneurship;
2) Popularity with tourists;
3) Attitude towards their own citizens (protection of human rights, ecology and gender equality);
4) Cultural influence;
5) Historical heritage;
6) Development potential;
7) Openness to business;
8) Military power;
9) Living standards.
Kazakhstan, in turn, moved up 2 notches and took only 66th place being located between Guatemala (65th place) and Ghana (67th place). Besides, Kazakhstan lost to Russia (23rd place) and Azerbaijan (61st place).
Our country has improved its position in 7 out of 9 indicators although this improvement is not so significant. The country has the best positions in such indices as military power (36th place), development potential (42nd place) and openness to business (65th place).
Cultural influence (72nd place), development of entrepreneurship (71st place), popularity among tourists (70th place), attitude towards their own citizens (70th place), historical heritage (70th place) are the worst.
