"The citizens aged 18 years and older, when taking 10 thousand or more steps per day, will receive 3 thousand sums (about $0.3) on their e-wallet," the decree says.
According to the document, those who walk the most among city dwellers will be paid about $30 a month, in villages – around $50, and those who walk the most across the country can receive about $100.
A special website will be created to record the results of walking. Hikers will be rewarded with an amount that will be charged on manufacturers of unhealthy products. The list of such products has not yet been provided.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan in its recommendations on protection against coronavirus, called the most effective healthy lifestyle, that included physical activity.
