COVID-19 is easily transmitted and can lead to serious illness and death, even for young people without chronic illness. The vaccines against COVID-19 are approved for use in Kazakhstan after extensive, rigorous and thorough scientific research.
Vaccination is carried out in two stages: first, component I is injected intramuscularly. Component II is injected on day 21.
After vaccination
Short-term general reactions may develop over the next three days after vaccination. Some people experience chills, fever, and soreness at the injection site. Nausea, dyspepsia, decreased appetite, and sometimes an increase in regional lymph nodes, are less commonly noted. The body reacts to the micro-dose of the virus that way.
It is not recommended to wet the injection site, go to the sauna, bathhouse, drink alcohol, and strenuous physical activity should be avoided within three days after vaccination.
In case of redness, swelling, soreness of the vaccination site, antihistamines should be taken.
Why do you need to get the vaccine in two stages?
The coronavirus vaccine should be given in two stages, 21 days apart. The first dose gives a short-term protective effect due to the production of small amounts of antibodies. The second dose enhances and consolidates the effect of the first; the number of antibodies in the human body grows.

Will the vaccine protect against other strains of coronavirus?
The studies conducted so far indicate that vaccines are effective against newly emerging strains of coronavirus. It should also be borne in mind that the sooner people are vaccinated, the lower the likelihood that new strains of coronavirus appear; that is why it is important to vaccinate the entire population.
