The most common injuries during the holidays are falling on slippery ice or on steps in a store, or falling into a snow-covered pit on footpaths.

Among the common payouts on December 31 is a falling on steps at a store exit. Similar cases happened with two clients of Sovcombank Life Insurance. Both were carrying heavy packages, were in a hurry and slipped on the steps.

The second category of provocateurs of “New Year's” injuries includes the holiday traditions. Thus, on December 31, one of the company's clients was seriously burned by sparklers.
