South Korean authorities stimulate the development of the pet insurance market

Additional steps are being taken to liberalize the pet insurance market in South Korea, reports the online resource UkrStrakhovanie.
South Korean authorities stimulate the development of the pet insurance market

According to the statement made by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and Department of Agriculture, insurance companies will be allowed to provide personal pet insurance plans. This measure helps new players to enter this market segment.

Only veterinary clinics can submit animal health insurance risk claims in South Korea. Once the new rules are implemented, pet owners will be allowed to share information about their pets' treatment with insurance companies and file insurance claims.
