This was announced within the framework of the XII International Conference "Insurance in Central Asia" held in Almaty recently, which was attended by leading insurance, reinsurance, brokerage companies from Central Asia, the Customs Union, the Caucasus, Asia and Europe.
AFK proposes to combine voluntary and compulsory medical insurance

The main topics of the conference were the insurance market of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, motor insurance, risk and reinsurance pools, and life insurance, afk.kz reports.

Within the second day of the conference, a round table was held on the theme "Voluntary and compulsory medical insurance. International Experience and Prospects for Kazakhstan", which Elena Bakhmutova, Chairperson of the Board of the Social Health Insurance Fund, representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, insurance organizations, assistants and international experts took part in.

The managing director of FIAK (Financial Institutions’ Association of Kazakhstan) Yerlan Burabayev presented a proposal on the combination of voluntary medical insurance and compulsory social health insurance. As a result of the round table, the participants agreed to discuss the optimal mechanisms for combining voluntary and compulsory insurance.

Elena Bakhmutova reported on the current activities of the fund. Representatives of insurance organizations told about voluntary medical insurance and assistance development.
