Experts told about the most popular insurance types in Russia

According to the survey, more than 60% of respondents would like to insure life and health in the future, as well as the house or apartment. 29% of the Russians are interested in insurance against job loss, and 26% would also like to insure against loss of money due to fraud. 18% would like to have insurance in the future against a possible quarantine that could disrupt their plans. Only 8% are interested in insurance of pets, while 14% of respondents would like to insure the newly made renovation.

71% of Russians use insurance. This is the second most popular financial product after debit bank cards, according to the survey. Insurance is most often bought when it is inevitable, as in the case of compulsory motor third party liability insurance or a policy for those traveling abroad. However, the second purpose is to reduce financial risks using a special product, the Raiffeisen Bank informed.

The presence of children in the family increases the demand for insurance. Thus, more than 74% of families with children and 73% of families planning new addition buy insurance products. Parents buy compulsory insurance more often. Those who do not have children need insurance less often, in 60% of cases.

According to 39% of respondents, insurance has helped them previously, and now they intend to use it always.

In early May this year, Raiffeisen Bank polled about 3 thousand people over 18 years old from Moscow, St. Petersburg, as well as cities with a population of over one million and small settlements.
