71% of Russians use insurance. This is the second most popular financial product after debit bank cards, according to the survey. However, the second purpose is to reduce financial risks using a special product, the Raiffeisen Bank informed.
The presence of children in the family increases the demand for insurance. Thus, more than 74% of families with children and 73% of families planning new addition buy insurance products. Parents buy compulsory insurance more often. Those who do not have children need insurance less often, in 60% of cases.
According to 39% of respondents, insurance has helped them previously, and now they intend to use it always.
In early May this year, Raiffeisen Bank polled about 3 thousand people over 18 years old from Moscow, St. Petersburg, as well as cities with a population of over one million and small settlements.
