KASE launches "KASE Startup" platform

Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (hereinafter referred to as KASE or the Exchange) announces the launch of the KASE Startup platform (hereinafter - the Platform) on April 9, 2018. The platform is intended for building communications between start-up companies and investors. Within the framework of the Platform, the participants will be given opportunity to conclude deals on the Exchange for the purchase and sale of stakes in the capital of start-up companies through professional participants of the stock market. The participants will be able to use all the advantages of the KASE infrastructure, the KASE press service informs.
KASE launches "KASE Startup" platform

Access to the platform participants is granted only to start-up companies established in the form of a limited liability partnership. Start-up companies are to meet one of the following criteria:

- Registration of the company with one of the Exchange partners (business incubator, investment fund, consulting and crowd-funding company), who signed a memorandum on the development of the Platform with KASE;

- A strategic investor with stockholding of more than 30%;

- An investor of investment fund, who became a member of the startup company not earlier than one year before filing application;

- Financial sales.

On October 3, 2017, KASE held the first open presentation of the platform in the co-working center SmArt.Point, where the representatives of KASE, business incubators, start-up companies and investment funds appeared before the related parties. As a result of the event, a memorandum was signed with the participants of this market.

Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (KASE) is the leading stock exchange in the Central Asian region and the only stock exchange in Kazakhstan, operating in the financial market. This is a universal trading platform for repo market instruments, foreign currencies, government and corporate securities, bonds of international financial institutions, as well as derivatives.

KASE is a member of the International Federation of Exchanges (WFE), the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) and other international and domestic professional associations.

In 2015, KASE joined the UN initiative "Sustainable Stock Exchanges." KASE is the second among CIS stock exchanges in terms of securities trading volume, and the sixth in the market capitalization level of stock exchanges FEAS.
