The document presents a comprehensive study of advantages and risks of central banks’ digital currencies, their tasks, methods of emission and circulation, and the technological platform.
More than 150 participants joined the report discussion, including representatives of the financial market, government agencies, private companies and the media. Over 100 different questions regarding technological solutions on project implementation, as well as the potential impact of digital currency on monetary policy and financial stability in Kazakhstan were received during the online meeting.
In the future, it is planned to implement a pilot project for the digital currency introduction, make a series of studies on the impact of digital tenge on economic processes, as well as consultation sessions with market participants and international partners.
