Typical exceptions
In most cases, a life insurance policy becomes void when its owner commits suicide.
Some insurance policies exclude death resulting from the insured's participation in hazardous activities, for instance, extreme illegal types of entertainment, such as train hitching, piloting without an appropriate license, and other.
In some cases, military conflicts also invalidate life insurance policies.
Insurance companies may refuse to pay compensation if the death of the insured person was the result of their participation in a criminal group.
The insurer has the right to refuse the claim if inaccurate information was provided when applying for a policy or an illness was deliberately hidden.
