403.5 thousand people have been born in Kazakhstan for 12 months, 208 thousand of which are boys, 195.5 thousand are girls. The number of deaths for the specified period amounted to 134.7 thousand people, while the mortality rate per 1000 people was 6.77. Thus, the natural population growth in 2022 were 268.8 thousand people.
The highest birth rates are noted in Mangistau, Turkestan regions and Shymkent. The highest mortality rates are observed in the North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions, which is associated with the age structure of the population of these regions.
The number of arrivals in the country in January-December 2022 was 17,293 people, the number of those who left the country was 24,239 people. The balance of migration is -6,946 people. Compared to the corresponding period of 2021, the number of arrivals in Kazakhstan increased by 57.5%, the number of departures from Kazakhstan decreased by 24.7%.
The main migration exchange of the state is with the CIS countries. The share of those who arrived from the CIS countries was 85.9%, the share of those who left for these countries was 83.4%.
