Let us remind you that scammers mislead people by setting up for the officers of the National Bank’s security department. These schemes are implemented with the participation of fake “officials” of the National Bank under pretence of “trying to catch fraudsters in second-tier banks.” The scammers even send fake IDs of National Bank employees, redirect calls to other dummies, and provide details for bank transfers.
Besides, signatures, names, and stamp are placed in fake documents to increase people’s trust.
“In this regard, the National Bank recommends that when receiving telephone calls from fake “officers of the National Bank’s security department,” one should interrupt the conversation and refuse to take part in any “special operations to catch fraudsters.” We would like to remind you that the National Bank does not serve individuals and does not conduct monetary transactions with the population, including not engaging citizens to conduct “special operations to catch fraudsters,” the regulator’s release says.
The National Bank advises to refrain from installing mobile applications, disclosing your personal data, providing remote access to the mobile phone, and transferring funds to third party’s accounts based on instructions received during a telephone conversation.
For consultations, one can contact the National Bank Call Center at short number 1477.
