Insurance terminals may appear in Kazakhstan in the next six months. Timur Turlov, the Board Chairman of Freedom Finance Insurance, told the LS correspondent about this.
According to him, this interface will allow people in Kazakhstan purchase insurance policies on their own.
"Creating of such hybrid models is self-service when agents are not needed. I am confident we will be able to fill a certain niche in the market, as approximately 5% of the population is happy to test new technologies. However, most people choose conservative methods. But, nevertheless, it should be understood that it is necessary to accelerate the transition of the market to the next stage. Last year the era of insurance on paper ended, and now the market is striving for an electronic format," he said.
At the first stage, according to Turlov, insurance terminals will be installed in several points: special auto-Public Service Centers, places of initial car registration and business centers.
"Models from Freedom Finance Insurance will allow scan and read the client's identity card. Not only cash but also credit cards are accepted as payment. You can also purchase policies in Qiwi terminals by paying in cash or using an electronic wallet. No commission for the product payment is required. The policy is issued on the form, and a copy is sent to the single database in electronic form," - he explained.
Turlov noted that these terminals would appear in the near future.
"Our company's hybrid models will be launched as soon as we receive a license for compulsory insurance classes from the National Bank. I think it will take around two weeks, probably by this summer. But we hope that the launch will take place very soon. As for Qiwi-terminals, everything is ready. The integration has been carried out and everything works in test mode. The service will be commissioned within three-four days from the license receipt," he stressed.
The interviewee added that at the first stage mono-products, in particular, motor insurance, would be presented in the terminals.
He also told about the benefits that the client would receive when self-buying the policy through the terminal.
"For example, the device requests the minimum amount of information (telephone or Individual Identification Number), works 24/7; it is available in the regions. There is no need to call or wait for an agent, etc. The paperwork employs less time," he concluded.
