The main current and new trends in the development of insurance in Kazakhstan were discussed during this session. The representatives of government agencies, public associations, the insurance market and IT industry took part in the discussion. The main emphasis was placed on development of domestic voluntary insurance and introduction of digital marketplaces for convenience of insurance services for consumers.
“The driver of insurance are currently voluntary classes, and the market needs a digital solution to create an aggregator of insurance products that would simplify the consumer’s choice of suitable insurance conditions from the variety of offers available on the market,” emphasized Assel Amirbayeva.
The session participants also discussed the development of imputed insurance, creation of educational platforms for training qualified specialists in the field of insurance and increasing the financial literacy of the population, and introduction of insurance against catastrophic risks.
