The average cost of a funeral in 2019 was $7,640, according to the National Association of Funeral Homes. If you add the cost of a plot to this figure, spending will increase to $9,135. “The biggest fear of people is death, so no one plans a funeral or studies the market before buying a service. Knowing this market can save $3,000 to $10,000,” says Mark Duffey, CEO of Everest Funeral Concierge Service.
Many life insurance companies are currently signing contracts with funeral concierge services and include a new option in policies, at the client's request. The funeral concierge will offer clients the best prices on the market and help them choose the services they need.
“Funeral homes often impose a suite of service on customers, and a professional will save people from unnecessary expenses. We remove all unnecessary and needless helping save thousands and thousands of dollars,” says Duffey.
Some life insurance policies include a paid funeral.
