About 300 schools and universities in the USA have issued insurance against terrorist acts

Insurance in the event of terrorist attacks on the territory of educational institutions in America, administration of schools and universities, began to be issued in 2016; 60 of them were written in July 2018.

"Such insurance gives us at least some confidence that in the event of a terrible tragedy, we can begin to correct the situation," the newspaper quoted Lance Erlwaine, a representative of the school district of Belpre, Ohio.

This school district, in which about a thousand students live, has already acquired insurance that provides payments of $25 thousand to the victims of the terrorist act.

"We had no idea we would need something like this just 15 years ago," he added, "It is simply terrible that schools have become target objects."
