The voluntary insurance contract was signed in late February this year.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, medical workers made 12% among patients with coronavirus infection, 1904 people, 30% of which were infected during work.

Let us remind you that Eurasia Insurance Company JSC was the first among all insurance companies to develop a special insurance program for local people in early February this year, according to which everyone could insure themselves against an impending danger of infections.

“We have made the first claim payment in Kazakhstan to one of the medical workers with a positive result at COVID-2019. How many more insured people will refer to us is a secondary issue, the main thing is that coronavirus infection proceeds to a mild degree without serious health consequences,” said Shakir Iminov, the Executive Director of JSC Eurasia IC.

The subsidiary life insurance company Eurasia has offered people programs that provide for the payment of large amounts to heirs in the event of death of the insured as a result of COVID-19 disease. These programs also apply to medical workers who are in high risk group.

As of June 30, 2020, since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, more than 10 million people have been infected worldwide.
