When collaborating with Roscosmos, SberLife Insurance, on its own initiative, insured the lives of astronauts for the duration of the flight and extravehicular activities.
“This launch inspired us to an ambitious goal - the creation of a new product “Insurance by the hour”. A person will be able to activate the option of health and life coverage for any period of time, at the moment when the likelihood that it will be needed increases, for example, in space during an extravehicular mission, or on Earth, say during a ski slope. If something happens to a person’s health during insurance hours, our company will settle the insured event and pay the money in a few minutes,” said Igor Kobzar, vice president of Sberbank, general director of SberLife Insurance.
