Connor Fitzgerald Bowman, a resident of Rochester, faces a second-degree murder charge. According to the prosecutor, he killed his wife (an injection with poison) because of payments from a life insurance policy, writes the KSTP online publication.

A 32-year-old woman went to the hospital after her husband had given her an injection and died a few days later. Doctors found the death suspicious and police began an investigation.

The case witnesses told police about marriage problems. They also learned that the couple maintained separate bank accounts due to Connor Bowman's debts.

The criminal suit says that immediately after the death, the suspect claimed the insurer payments in the amount of $500,000 and was planning to arrange cremation instead of a funeral.

The police found direct evidence during the search: these were internet search queries, a syringe and a toxic substance.
