What is the best age to get tested for dementia?

Neurologist Viktor Shakhnovich spoke about first symptoms of dementia and what tests should be taken before the disease is advanced. Also, the physician points out that Alzheimer's disease and dementia are two different diseases, writes the Profile publication.
What is the best age to get tested for dementia?

According to the doctor, dementia is caused by a violation of the vessel wall elasticity, therefore, it is necessary to monitor the state of the vessels. You need to know your cholesterol, blood viscosity, fat metabolism and coagulogram. Such tests should be taken from the age of 35-40.

The symptoms of dementia include unstable blood pressure and forgetfulness. As an example, the doctor names a situation when a person cannot remember where he has put something.

Shakhnovich emphasizes that unlike dementia the Alzheimer's disease is caused by genes and inherited. The physician notes that no country in the world has developed the prevention of this disease so far.
