How to recognize a financial scammer

Fraudsters are constantly finding new ways to steal money or personal information in order to gain access to bank accounts. Scammers skillfully use techniques that persuade the victim to voluntarily disclose information that may become the key to their financial resources.
How to recognize a financial scammer

Haste and pressure

Crooks often try to create a sense of urgency or pressure so the person makes a quick decision without having time to think about their actions. Intruders may claim that the offer is limited in time.

Lack of information

If a person avoids providing detailed information about themselves, their company or the service they offer, this may be a signal to immediately end the conversation.

Suspicious requests

Fraudsters usually ask for personal information: bank account number or other confidential information. Unrealistic offers, any offers that sound too good to be true are probably not real. If something sounds too tempting (for example, too high interest rates, guarantee of quick profits without risk), it is a trap.

Lack of transparency

Any serious business must have licenses and registration. All this can be easily checked on the websites of supervisory authorities. In the case of the financial sector, these are the websites of the National Bank and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market. If there is no information there, you are dealing with scammers.
