According to the National Bank, as of December 1, 2020, 21.9 trillion tenge are in deposits (excluding non-resident accounts), while on the same date in 2019 the amount is 18.3 trillion tenge. Thus, over the year the amount increased by 19.6%, or 3.6 trillion tenge. The deposits in national currency for this period have grown by 27.8%, up to 13.3 trillion tenge, in foreign currency - by 8.8%, up to 8.6 trillion tenge.
As of early December this year, 10.4 trillion tenge were kept on deposits of individuals, and 11.5 trillion tenge - on deposits of legal entities.
Therewith, the volume of deposits of individuals (excluding accounts of non-residents) amounted to 10.3 trillion tenge. Among the regions, most funds, 4.8 trillion tenge and 1.2 trillion tenge were on deposits in Almaty and Nur-Sultan, respectively. The least amounts, almost 132 billion tenge and 59.7 billion tenge, were on deposits in Kyzylorda and Turkestan, respectively.
