Each country has its own system of compulsory employee insurance. By studying data from open sources, LIC Freedom Life analysts determined where the best conditions were created. It turns out that in some states insurance against industrial accidents is combined with medical insurance, and in some countries corporate insurance has just appeared and is at the development stage.
USA
Approximately 4.5 million work-related injuries and illnesses were reported in 2022. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation's Center for the Study of American Health Care, only 49% of Americans have insurance through employers. In addition to compulsory accident insurance, employers also have programs that help employees identify health problems and treat chronic conditions. These programs include health risk assessment, biometric screening, and health promotion programs.
China
Only 354 million people (out of a population of 1.412 billion) had coverage under the Employees' Social Security program in 2021. Insurance against work injuries is included in the list of risks and is covered by social insurance. Employees who suffer a work-related injury or illness are entitled to full salary and benefits paid each month during the medical treatment period, which usually does not exceed 12 months. Social insurance covers medical expenses, rehabilitation, accommodation and food.
France
96% of the employed population has compulsory employee insurance. A wide range of workplace insurance coverages are available for employees, including medical care. For minor injuries or illnesses, patients are reimbursed up to 70% of the costs of treatment and rehabilitation, and for serious health problems - 100% of costs are covered.
