A policy with a rehabilitation service appeared in early October. It is a boxed product that offers three coverage options: the cheapest covers only the coronavirus consequences, the most expensive covers head injuries and strokes. According to Rosgosstrakh Zhizn, the first ones are in the greatest demand having been purchased by 14.6 thousand customers, which makes 71% of the program sales.
The company also calculated that women were a little more interested in this product, their share was 50.7%. The greatest demand for rehabilitation insurance was in Moscow, the Nizhny Novgorod region and Chuvashia. Tatarstan was the fourth, Volgograd region – the fifth.
Several clients have already applied for rehabilitation; the insurer is organizing the courses for them.
The insurers began to launch programs to protect individuals and corporate clients from the coronavirus in March. They often also offer policies of varying cost and payout limits.
