The greatest acceleration was recorded in the Atyrau region (from 14.1% in June to 16% in July). “The growth rate of food prices in July increased to 19.7% y/y. The maximum increase in prices for goods of this group was in the Mangistau region (24%),” Igor Osipov noted.
The monthly inflation in the country in July 2022 is 1.1%, which is significantly higher than the average July inflation over the past five years. The prices rose above the historical average in July 2022 in all regions. The greatest acceleration of monthly inflation was noted in the Atyrau region (2.1%).
