The growth of life insurance premiums is 2.4%

Insurance companies collected more than 5.6 trillion euros in life, health, property and casualty (P&C) premiums worldwide in 2022 setting a new record, says the German insurer Allianz survey, Capital reports.

This amount is 4.9% more than in 2021. The global inflation amounted to 8.6% last year. The premium growth in life insurance in 2022 was 2.4% (up to 2.6 trillion euros), health insurance - 4.9% (up to 1.1 trillion euros), P&C - 8.7% (up to 1.8 trillion euros).

The recovery in all three segments was largely provided by the United States, while in Western Europe and in many parts of Asia, for example, "the dynamics of the life insurance market was disappointing," the report says.
