The investment banking giant recently released its annual global insurance investment survey, which included responds on cryptocurrencies for the first time, finding that 11% of U.S. insurance firms indicated either an interest in investing or ongoing investment in cryptocurrencies.
Asian insurers were next in line, with 6% interested or currently investing, while European insurers came in at just 1%. The report shows that cryptocurrencies are in fifth place for asset class insurers looking to generate the highest returns over the next 12 months, and 6% of them consider cryptocurrencies as their first choice beating out United States and European equities.
