From January 1, 2024, people working in hazardous working conditions, upon reaching the age of 55 and having paid mandatory pension contributions for at least 7 years, are given the opportunity to receive SSB.
Special social benefit will consist of several components and will be made from four sources: a special professional allowance from the national budget in the amount of 2 minimum wages (hereinafter - MW); from life insurance companies in the amount of 1 MW; at the expense of employers in the amount of 1 MW, from the UAPF at the expense of mandatory professional pension contributions. Besides, employees are given the right to receive payments from the UAPF through mandatory pension contributions, including existing pension savings.
The SSB will be paid until retirement age. In order to obtain it, it is necessary to leave a job with harmful working conditions. Workers can transfer to light work; then they will receive a salary and benefit, or go on vacation and receive a special social benefit until pension award.
