In response to an official request from LS, UAPF noted that 9,062 depositors withdrew their pension savings due to their departure for permanent residence outside Kazakhstan.
From the year beginning to August 1, 2023, the total sum of payments amounted to 22.45 billion tenge, whereas for the same period in 2022 - 29.48 billion tenge (11.6 thousand people).
2.9 thousand Kazakhstanis received funds in the amount of 7.31 billion in the national currency, 5.6 thousand depositors - 12.99 billion tenge in rubles, 236 people - 1.45 billion tenge in USD, 160 depositors - 450 million tenge in Euro, 19 Kazakhstanis - 250 million tenge in pound sterling.
By country, payments in pounds sterling were made to the UK, in American currency - to Poland, Turkey, Canada, the USA and other countries, in euro - to Germany, Poland, Belarus, etc.
However, the UAPF notes that the payment of pension savings due to moving to another country this year does not mean that the recipient has left abroad in 2023.
“Retirement savings are kept on individual pension accounts indefinitely, and can be taken on the basis indicated above, one can claim them any time after leaving for permanent residence outside of Kazakhstan,” they concluded in the fund.
