The largest average monthly wage is traditionally accounted for the Atyrau region: 377.4 thousand tenge, by 61.9% more than the national average. The TOP-3 regions by the size of the average monthly salary also include the capital (349.6 thousand tenge) and the Mangistau region (337.7 thousand tenge).
The lowest average monthly wages are in Turkestan (166.7 thousand tenge), Zhambyl (168.8 thousand tenge) and North Kazakhstan (168.9 thousand tenge) regions.
There are also noticeable differences in wages between workers employed in various trades. For example, the maximum value of the average monthly salary was noted in the mining industry (472.3 thousand tenge), as well as finance and insurance (422.6 thousand tenge). However, the minimum average monthly wage was recorded in the water utilities sector (145.7 thousand tenge) and agriculture (147.7 thousand tenge).
The average monthly wage in education was 176.5 thousand tenge (24.3% lower than the national average), in health care - 197.4 thousand tenge (15.3% lower than national average). The average monthly salary in these sectors is also among the lowest in the country.
