According to the new issue of the Manulife Investor Sentiment Index, MISI by the global insurer Manulife, it is known that this indicator in 2018 has increased to 40 compared to 33 in 2017.
Manulife comments that the optimism of investors is due to China's economic reforms and new opportunities to them. Insurance becomes an important segment of investment activity; its share is 11% of the average investment portfolio.
According to Zhang Kai, general manager of the life insurance company Manulife-Sinochem, a closer attention to insurance by Chinese investors is due to the guarantee of their financial plans protection. According to MISI, investments in fixed income and real estate also tend to increase.
The calculation of MISI index is based on the results of online surveys conducted from January to February 2018.
