According to him, Bima Sugam will become a kind of online insurance store, through which you can buy an insurance policy, get an expert opinion, report an insured event and file an insurance claim.
The online platform is aimed to provide insurance coverage to residents of the most remote and rural areas of the country. The IRDAI initiative includes the insurance portal Biga Sugam, the insurance intermediary platform Biga Vahak and Bima Vistaar, a safety net that offers affordable and comprehensive insurance to the rural population.
Indian life insurance needs to move out of metropolitan cities and focus on the village people by offering them affordable and reliable products.
