According to Beal, the British government's plans for future cooperation with the EU will help to strengthen the outflow of companies from the UK.
"We will no longer have the right to write business or offer insurance within the EU 27, and this can lead to a weakening of our positions", Beal said. "It's very disappointing, because we are basically 80% of the UK economy."
Lloyd's comment echoes the opinion of other representatives of British financial sector, they do not exclude the negative impact of Brexit on the banks’ and insurers’ activities, and also reduce the payrolls in the country.
The CEO of the Association of British Insurers, Hov Evans, added: "Whatever the result, the insurance industry is too important to become a refuge / ... / this is the worst scenario for our insurance sector, so we will contact the government to discuss a more acceptable option”.
