According to the government, the roadmap crypto-industry and blockchain technologies development is being developed in Kazakhstan.
It has been stated that out of all types of companies working in crypto-industry and innovative financial instruments in related fields, only miners work in the country.
“For the digital industry further development, it is proposed to revise the approaches within the framework of the pilot project, in particular, the implementation of crypto-exchanges on the AIFC basis, development and approval of the regulations of the pilot project on the mechanism of interaction of the crypto-exchange with Kazakhstani banks and individuals, residents and non-residents of Kazakhstan, consideration of the need to improve the legislation on the activities of crypto-exchanges following the results of the pilot”, explained in the prime minister’s press service.
The Ministry for Digital Development informed about plans for the crypto market development in the country.
It is expected that in a regulated environment, the digital asset market will become more organized and transparent, it will be possible to more accurately assess this market and conduct analytics, take a leading position in the cryptocurrency market in the region providing an international regulatory standard comparable to international requirements.
