“During the cold season, I highly recommend eating avocado because it is incredibly positive for the immune system. It is rich with vitamin D, omega fats, and vitamin E. Vitamins D and E are fat-soluble vitamins, and due to the avocado fats, they will be properly and quickly absorbed in our body, and we will get the necessary vitamins during the off-season and strengthen the immune system", explained Marina Sergiyenko.
Eating avocados gives a good energy boost and strengthens the body. It contains polyunsaturated fatty acids, which prolong life, strengthen the cardiovascular system, and participate in all body processes, even hormonal ones, according to the nutritional consultant.
“It is better to eat the fruit in the first half of the day, as it is very high in calories and gives a feeling of fullness. Avocado in the morning will energize for a long time. You can make an avocado toast or add the fruit to smoothies or salads. The fruit can be used as salad dressing. Avocado can also play the role of butter in a classic sandwich with red fish or caviar. This is a tasty and healthy combination,” said Marina Sergiyenko.
According to her, in case of liver problems, the use of avocado like most fatty foods should be limited.
