Nutritionist Julia Zumpano notes that foods that are high in cholesterol and low in fat can and should be included in the diet. These include eggs and seafood, they are high in protein, B vitamins, metals and few calories.
“The healthiness of eggs and seafood outweigh the cholesterol they contain. If you have high cholesterol levels, don't eat too many of these foods, take no more than four yolks or two seafood meals a week,” the doctor said.
However, intake of egg white is not limited, which contains a lot of protein and no cholesterol.
