Thus, naringenin has antioxidant, antitumor, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory effects, it improves the condition of the heart and blood vessels, suppresses appetite,” noted Svetlana Zelentsova.

Nobiletin present in grapefruit is useful for obesity, atherosclerosis, and insulin resistance. Hesperedin is an antioxidant, which has an anti-allergic effect, strengthens blood vessels and improves the tone and elasticity of veins. “Grapefruit helps with stagnant bile and reduced acidity of gastric juice, as it stimulates the production of digestive juices. The fiber contained in the fruit is good for the intestines,” Zelentsova shared.
